Susana Lescano treads nimbly from one series to another with the skill of a tightrope walker.

In fact, each of her series foreshadows the next and we marvel at the transformations which Lescano’s work seamlessly undergoes. Lescano never comes to an abrupt halt—rather, she takes the artistic ingredients that she is using at a given time, and derives from them hitherto unsuspected dimensions or situations pushed to the limits that were there all along, albeit only hinted at.

The stripped-down surfaces bespeak carefully considered preparation in which the artist has weighed up the profiles, tangents, empty spaces, and distances.

Polychromatic, arrow-shaped, or quadrangular notes underlying terminal directions, points of contact, or create points of interest in angular momentum through space.
