Susana Lescano showcases the bonds that link her to music in a number of series; the first appears at the end of the 1990s, reaches its zenith in 2001 and is called “Sounds.”

For Suzy, the musical warp and woof are the strings, the interplay of tensions in the strings showcased by this series in innumerable permutations.

The materials used in this case are steel and polychrome steel, wood, alpaca or bronze wire, aluminum, bronze, silver, and iron.

Generally speaking, the creative design in this series is based on a solid central body, pitted with holes or cracked, which serves as a benchmark, on the basis of which the strings establish their articulations. This produces a contrast between levity, the energy of the taut strings, and the firmly anchored volumetric mass.
